Storage Tips & FAQs

Storing and packing just got easier! Here are a few helpful storage tips....

1. Label boxes on all sides for easy identification.

2. Make sure fragile boxes are placed on top of heavier, less delicate boxes.

3. Boxes that are tightly sealed with packing tape will prevent dust from entering. Plastic bins are ideal.

4. Use moving pads or wood pallets to keep items off the floor of the unit.

5. When storing business files, leave a walkway down the center of your unit to make accessing items easier.
6. Do not store anything flammable (such as paint or other chemicals) or perishable.

7. Drain any fluids prior to storing snow blowers, lawnmowers, and other equipment; Do not store hazardous or combustible materials.

8. Purchase a secure, high quality lock. One of the most highly recommended is the disk lock, which is available at Space Management.

How do I contact you?

What kind of documentation is needed to rent a unit?

We furnish a lease for you to sign that provides convenient month to month terms. If you prefer longer terms we can provide that also. A Drivers License is needed.

Do I need insurance for my stored goods?

We only insure our building, but you should check with your homeowners insurance policy for your contents. Depending on the terms of your policy, your goods may be covered.

When can I access my unit?

Our gate is open during business hours daily. If you need to access your unit after hours when the gate is closed, a gate-opening code can be given to you.

How do I lock my unit?

High quality cut proof disk locks are available for you at the time of unit rental. Only you will have the key to your unit.
What kind of outside parking do you have?

If you rent an outside parking spot, an assigned parking space is provided to your designated vehicle. No one else may park in your spot.

Where can I make my payment?

Most people drop their payment off at our office payment “slot” conveniently located on-site. However, you can always mail it to us if you are out of town.
